Guling-Guling Festival
Introduced by friars in the 16th century, Ilocos townsfolk celebrate their last day of merriment before the Lenten season. On this day. Ilocanos are cleansed of their sins by having themselves marked with the sign of the cross on the forehead using white rice flour. The festival is held on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.
Bankero Festival
The Bangkero Festival is dedicated to the Pagsanjeno boaters and Pagsanjan’s patroness, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Its main feature is the palarong bangkero which is a race between different dexterous Laguna boaters.
Kaamulan Festival
The Kaamulan Festival is an ethnic-cultural festival held from the second half of February until March 10, the anniversary of Bukidnons foundation as a province. Kaamulan roots from the Binukid word amul which means to gather. It is participated by seven Bukidnon tribal groups.
Arya! Festival
The Arya! Abra Festival is the celebration of Abra’s foundation day. It is Abra’s biggest festival which highlights the province’s individuality. Among the festivities main highlights is the “karerakit” bamboo rafting along Calaba river.
