Taytay
Taytay, meaning “bridge” in the local dialect, was the first capital of Palawan and today is the largest municipality of the province. A 17th century Spanish fortress is located in the heart of Taytay as a symbol of the town’s rich history.
Located 220 kilometers from Puerto Princesa, Taytay is bounded in the north by El Nido, in the south by San Vicente and Dumaran, and in the east by Taytay Bay and the Sulu Sea. Apulit Island, surrounded by a marine sanctuary, lies within Taytay Bay.

How to get there
The direct and fastest way from Manila to Taytay is via SEAIR. Upon arrival at Cesar Lim Rodriguez Airport, a ten-minute Jeepney ride brings you to Tamisan Jetty and a 45-minute boat ride will take you to Apulit Island Resort.
Taytay town is accessible by land from El Nido. Guests can take one of the Island Transvoyager flights in the morning and take a 2-hour van transfer to Taytay town. Apulit Island Resort is 45 minutes away by boat from Taytay Town.
Taytay town is also accessible by land from Puerto Princesa. Van transfer to Taytay town takes approximately 5 hours.
